March 21, 2014, Singapore.: SOC AM Board members, ALAC group heads, Lianna Galstyan and Siranush Vardanyan, took part in the  ICANN49 meeting in Singapore. For the first time Armenian students participated at the ICANN Meeting. Lusine Andreyan and Sasun Kostanyan were Media Education Center’s delegates.

February 28, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM and ITC management meeting with Registrars took place where the new contract between Armenian Registry (ITC) and Registrars previously distributed was discussed. Registrars approved the new contract with minor additions.

February 27, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM Council meeting took place where the new contract between Armenian Registry and Registrars containing additions for preservation of registrants’ private data, new approach to the domain name cost calculation and dispute resolution through the local arbitration was discussed. Council members approved the new contract.

January 12, 2014, TERENA. CERT AM of ISOC AM has been accredited by TF-CSIRT Trusted Introducer (service of TERENA).

April 25, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM filed an application to ICANN for the Armenian IDN domain.

April 22, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ArmIX Board meeting at ISOC AM. New member companies of ArmIX were presented. New equipment was installed at ArmIX due to the help of ISOC and Google.

April 18, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. Winners of the best parental meeting and best open lesson competitions in frames of the Safer Internet Armenia 2014 have been announced.

April 10, 2014, Aghveran, Armenia. ISOC AM VP G. Saghyan, Director A. Nersisyan, Board members A. Karakhanyan, L. Galstyan, H. Baghyan, ISOC AM members A. Khachatryan and G. Sargsyan took part in the workshop devoted to the problem of educational needs of the country.

April 8, 2014, Moscow, Russia. President of ISOC AM I.Mkrtumyan took part in the meeting organized by Veni Markovsky, ICANN VP – Global Stakeholder Engagement. Mr. Markovski introduced Michael Yakushev, new VP, Global Stakeholder Engagement – Russia/CIS/Eastern Europe. Y. Kargopolov (Ukraine) and F. Farmanov (Azerbaijan) were also present at the meeting. The subject of the discussion was: Multistakeholder-designed process to gather the community’s views and proposals to address how the mechanisms for the transition of NTIA’s stewardship of the IANA functions should occur.

April 7, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. Media Education Center and Internet Society of Armenia organized a workshop on IGF. Over 40 students of the Yerevan State University Departments of International Relations,Telecommunications, Journalism, Informatics and Applied Mathematics participated in a workshop on public policy issues related to Internet governance. The workshop was followed by the simultaneous broadcast of the Fifth Russian Internet Governance Forum. Issues related to privacy, cybersecurity, cross-border jurisdiction, net neutrality discussed during the workshop. The students received the DiploFoundation’s Book Introduction to Internet Governance 5th edition (Armenian version).

April 7, 2014, Moscow, Russia. President of ISOC AM I.Mkrtumyan and ISOC Board member, Anna Karakhanyan, took part in the th Russian IGF.

May 31-June 1, 2014, Yerevan, ArmeniaBarcamp 2014 conference. ISOC AM member, Head of IT Security of UCom company, Karen Gasparyan made a presentation: Cyber security in Armenia. ISOC AM Board member Inna Kholodova was also present at the conference.

May 29, 2014, Yerevan, ArmeniaThe first workshop of the workshop series for Registrars took place in ISOC AM. About 25 representatives of acting and potential Registrars participated in the workshop devoted to the AMTLD governance. The presentation was done by I.Mkrtumyan.

May 27, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia.I.Mkrtumyan and A.Nersisyan took part in the 2nd session of the REUA Analytic Club devoted to the unequal competition in Armenia and ways to eliminate it. The event was organized by the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA).

May 25, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. IG.Saghyan took part in the Pre-Parliament session devoted to the IT developments in Armenia and made a presentation on the planned national IGF.

May 24, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia: ISOC AM sponsored the Armsec security conference: Head of ISOC AM CERT, Grigori Saghyan, CERT administrator Inna Kholodova and ISOC AM web security expert, Karen Gasparyan made presentations.

May 21, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM members Grigori Saghyan, Liana Galstyan, Hrachya Astsatryan, Misak Khachatryan and Valery Stepanyan participated in the INET-Istanbul conference.

May 15, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. There was a round table on the information security issues of Armenia cyberspace. ISOC AM VP, Grigori Saghyan, made a presentation on problems facing Armenia and ways to solve them.

May 15, 2014, ISOC AM Office, Yerevan, Armenia. There was a discussion of a plan of workshops for Registrars to be provided by ISOC AM for Registrars. The plan of the workshop was developed and the 28th of May was set up as the date of the first workshop. The workshops will be carried out once a week.

May 14, 2014, ISOC AM Office, Yerevan, Armenia. There was the first meeting of the initiative group for the preparation of the Armenian IGF. Gagik Grigoryan (MTC), Igor Mkrtumyan, Liana Galstyan, Anna Karakhanyan (ISOC AM), Samvel Martirosyan (Internet Media), Haykaz Baghyan (Mediaeducation Center) and Arman Atoyan (X-Tech) were present at the meeting. It was agreed to start working on the agenda, participants’ list and the budget.

May 12-16, 2014, Warsaw, Poland. ISOC AM members, Arman Nersisyan, Arman Khachatryan and Edward Ayvazyan took part in the RIPE68 meeting.

May 11, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM Board elected 5 ISOC AM members (out of 10 applied) for the participation in INET-Istanbul conference on May 21, 2014. They are: Grigori Saghyan, Liana Galstyan, Hrachya Astsatryan, Misak Khachatryan and Valery Stepanyan.

May 2, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM announced a possibility to participate in INET-Istanbul conference on May 21, 2014 for ISOC AM members. ISOC AM will provide a $500 fellowship for 4 elected participants.
