For the first time Armenian students participated at the ICANN Meeting. Lusine Andreyan and Sasun Kostanyan were Media Education Center’s delegates.
February 28, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. ISOC AM and ITC management meeting with Registrars took place where the new contract between Armenian Registry (ITC) and Registrars previously distributed was discussed. Registrars approved the new contract with minor additions.

ISOC AM Council meeting took place where the new contract between Armenian Registry and Registrars containing additions for preservation of registrants’ private data, new approach to the domain name cost calculation and dispute resolution through the local arbitration was discussed. Council members approved the new contract.

April 8, 2014, Moscow, Russia. President of ISOC AM I.Mkrtumyan took part in the meeting organized by Veni Markovsky, ICANN VP – Global Stakeholder Engagement. Mr. Markovski introduced Michael Yakushev, new VP, Global Stakeholder Engagement – Russia/CIS/Eastern Europe. Y. Kargopolov (Ukraine) and F. Farmanov (Azerbaijan) were also present at the meeting. The subject of the discussion was: Multistakeholder-designed process to gather the community’s views and proposals to address how the mechanisms for the transition of NTIA’s stewardship of the IANA functions should occur.
April 7, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. Media Education Center and Internet Society of Armenia organized a workshop on IGF. Over 40 students of the Yerevan State University Departments of International Relations,Telecommunications, Journalism, Informatics and Applied Mathematics participated in a workshop on public policy issues related to Internet governance. The workshop was followed by the simultaneous broadcast of the Fifth Russian Internet Governance Forum. Issues related to privacy, cybersecurity, cross-border jurisdiction, net neutrality discussed during the workshop. The students received the DiploFoundation’s Book Introduction to Internet Governance 5th edition (Armenian version).

May 15, 2014, Yerevan, Armenia. There was a round table on the information security issues of Armenia cyberspace. ISOC AM VP, Grigori Saghyan, made a presentation on problems facing Armenia and ways to solve them.
May 15, 2014, ISOC AM Office, Yerevan, Armenia. There was a discussion of a plan of workshops for Registrars to be provided by ISOC AM for Registrars. The plan of the workshop was developed and the 28th of May was set up as the date of the first workshop. The workshops will be carried out once a week.
May 14, 2014, ISOC AM Office, Yerevan, Armenia. There was the first meeting of the initiative group for the preparation of the Armenian IGF. Gagik Grigoryan (MTC), Igor Mkrtumyan, Liana Galstyan, Anna Karakhanyan (ISOC AM), Samvel Martirosyan (Internet Media), Haykaz Baghyan (Mediaeducation Center) and Arman Atoyan (X-Tech) were present at the meeting. It was agreed to start working on the agenda, participants’ list and the budget.
