The global Internet Society highlighted the efforts of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter NGO in its 2025 semi-annual report, recognizing the organization’s contributions to advancing Internet-related initiatives in the region.
Among 30 partner organizations active across Europe, the Internet Society Armenia NGO has contributed to the development of the Internet as a global technical infrastructure, implementing a range of impactful projects both in Yerevan and in the regions.
In its 2025 semi-annual report, the Internet Society reviewed five key projects initiated by the Armenia Chapter, providing the following evaluations:
The Armenian chapter made significant contributions across several key areas:
- Digital inclusion, through the development and implementation of a digital library management system.
- Multilingualism and Internet inclusivity, by co-organizing the regional Universal Acceptance conference in Yerevan.
- Women’s participation in technology, by hosting the Girls in ICT event in Jermuk.
- Digital accessibility, by donating computers to libraries and providing training for librarians in the Kotayk region.
- Promotion of internationalized domain names, by organizing a public celebration marking the 9th anniversary of the first registration of the .հայ (.hay) domain.
