AUDIT COMMITTEE

Aram Verdyan has served as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter PO since 2026.

He has been a member of the Internet Society NGO since 2006 and has served as a  Board member since 2009.

Mr. Verdyan graduated from the Minsk Aviation Technical School in 1993 and earned his degree from Yerevan Engineering University in 2007.

Since 2002, he has held the position of Technical Director at Cross Net LLC. In 2019, he also joined Internet Technologies Center LLC as a Technical Specialist.

With a professional career in information technology spanning more than three decades, Mr. Verdyan has been active in the IT sector since 1994.

David Alaverdyan has served as a member of the Board of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter PO since 2026 and has been a member of the Internet Society NGO since 2025.

Since 2021, he has been a member of the Interagency Group of the Armenia Internet Governance Forum. He has also served as President of the Armenian Online Media and Journalists Association NGO since 2004.

Mr. Alaverdyan is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Mediamax, one of Armenia’s leading media companies. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of History, Theory and Practice of Journalism at the Faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University. He holds a PhD in Philological Sciences and teaches courses in Information Security and Crisis Communication.

He is a member of Armenia’s Media Ethics Observatory and serves as Secretary General of the Armenian Sports Journalists Association.

Mr. Alaverdyan has organized and participated in numerous local and international conferences, forums, and professional events. He is also the author of a number of academic publications in the fields of journalism, communications and media studies.

Samvel Hovsepyan has served as a member of the Audit Committee of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter PO since 2026. He has been a member of the Internet Society NGO since 2003 and has served on its Supervisory Committee since 2024.

Mr. Hovsepyan studied at the Faculty of Physics of Yerevan State University from 1989 to 1994 and completed postgraduate studies in Materials Science Engineering at the Graduate School of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute from 1994 to 1996.

He holds the rank of Colonel of Police and was awarded the Medal of Gratitude by the President of the Republic of Armenia in 2021 in recognition of his public service.

Since 2023, Mr. Hovsepyan has served as Head of the Security Service at Fast Bank CJSC. Previously, from 2018 to 2022, he was Head of the Department of Communications and Information Technologies of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hovsepyan has held senior leadership positions in the fields of public security, communications, and information technologies, contributing to the development and modernization of Armenia’s technological and security infrastructure.
