SMART room for people with disabilities

Modern society makes extensive use of smart technology to meet the demands of those with limiting abilities.
A meeting with leaders of the Armenian non-governmental organization “Union of the Blind of Armenia” was recently convened in order to develop such alternatives.
The latter emphasized the requirement, which was primarily in two directions:

  • capacity to learn via voice assistants.
  • creating a smart environment

The “Internet Society Armenia Chapter” NGO, in collaboration with the UN Children’s Fund and “Smart City” NGO, runs a two-month course on the use and design of “Internet of Things” equipment, within the framework of which the participants will be given the task of resolving the issues of the blind, in particular, the blind culture.
At home, a smart room will be built. It will act as a training facility for the introduction of voice assistants.”
