Libraries in Kotayk region will be equipped with 45 computers

Enhancing Digital Infrastructure and Resource Renewal in 15 Libraries

By September 15 libraries in Kotayk region will be equipped with 45 computers, one WiFi router each, a digitized bibliographic database containing 40,000 books, and a digital management program.

This initiative was launched in October 2024 by “Internet Society Armenia Chapter” PO.

“The technological upgrade of libraries and the modernization of management system will help ensure the long-term sustainability of these vital institutions. Additionally, residents of the region will have the opportunity to access online educational resources,” noted Igor Mkrtumyan, President of the Internet Society Armenia Chapter PO.

As part of the project, four libraries in Hrazdan – Libraries No. 1, 5, 6, and 7 – have already received one computer and one WiFi router each, equipped with a digital management program and the library’s digitized database. Additionally, training courses have been conducted for library staff.
